What a joy it is to be able to capture the spirit of children! This little lady is turning two this month, and her sweet mommy wanted to capture the fun that is a two year old. There are so many fun ones I could post, but these are a few of my favorite!

Nabs and I just got home yesterday from an amazing vacation. My sweet husband planned the whole thing. He budgeted, made the reservations, and swept me away to one of our favorite cities - Galveston.

This time, we didn't go fancy. We went. That is all...we went. We walked on the beach and found fun sea glass (a new hobby of ours). We went and ate at local places that were quite unique and different. We rested, and we laughed! In fact, I don't know when we have enjoyed each other this much! We get so busy when we walk into our "normal" lives that it was awesome to get away and have each other all to ourselves.

Thank you, God, for blessing me with a husband who loves you, and shows me daily how precious You are to him! Thank you for giving us wonderful memories, and pictures to remember. You are mighty!

This past weekend, I went to spend a day with an old friend of mine, and her precious new baby boy, Zane. What an amazing time we had catching up, taking pictures, shopping, and visiting one of our favorite eating places (I have pictures that I will post later). Anyway, below are only a few of my favorites!

The Grand Finale (or maybe not...only time will tell)!

Towards the end of our time together, the boys were tired and ready to go buy their new toy. (yes, I bribed them to take pictures...I know, I know *hanging my head in shame*) So, I asked them to take just a few more pics for Aunt Mandy. I asked Tucker to put his arm around Tanner. Well, folks, that is where it took the dreaded turn.

See at first, all was pleasant and precious.

Then, Tucker realized that Tanner is his best "brudder" and wanted to show him how much he loved him. First it started with a little sweet, baby talk....

next, he decided to give his brother some sugars....

Finally, Tanner could take no more. After this last shot, we quickly threw back on our shoes and headed to the SUV. In fact, I do believe all three of us ran because Aunt Mandy knew she had pushed it too far!

A Mother's Love

I shot this picture at the birthday party. Lori is one of my very best friends. We grew up in the same town, but we didn't get to meet until we were at A&M (15 years ago). She is so much fun, and she knows how to throw an amazing Super Hero birthday party! Actually, she wears herself out to make sure everything is perfect...AND it always is perfect! I am so very blessed to have such an amazing friend and to be able to share so much of life's victories, trials and surprises with her. She is an awesome mom, and I love to watch her take care of boys!

After the soccer game, the boys wanted to show me their new set of wheels. Tanner Bob crawled right into the passenger seat and Tucker drove the two of them to the park while sister and I walked. Every now and then, we would get the 'thumbs up'. I can see the future when I look at these pictures.

I had a photo shoot with a little guy that is going to celebrate his birthday this summer in a mighty way! His mother and I are working on his invitations, and we had him try on several different personas. We are going to incorporate his favorites into the invitation. We had a blast!

Yea! I am actually on topic today! I took this picture a couple of months ago, but I haven't gone back to look at it. My grandfather started working in this shoe store right after he came back from WWII. He had faith in where God had brought him, and he ended up owning this store after working in it for a while.

Unfortunately, the store isn't in our family any longer, and they just moved from this original site. Therefore, I had to go and take pictures of it because this is a symbol of my grandfather's faith in himself and most importantly his faith in God's plan for his life.

Winter Wonderland in March?

This week we have had snow, sleet, rain, thunder, lightening, wind, sunshine, and 70 degree days to 30 degree days. It has been quite an interesting week weather wise! So, yesterday afternoon, Nabs and I got out to document the Winter Wonderland that surrounded us here in North Texas. Such beautiful images!
